To promote clean and green energy in the city, solar panels are being installed on the rooftops of several government buildings in the city. This will promote the usage of solar energy.

It is estimated that the planned smart city will have electrical power requirement around continuously growing in few years and to integrate renewable a decent portion solar generation capacity will be targeted within ABD area.

It will be further implemented throughout the city later. This is planned to achieve in various phases, starting with a small pilot project i.e. 0.461 MW Solar rooftop on few identified Govt. buildings and then to repeat similar actions on other buildings and explore more innovative options.
